Slaughterhouse V soundtrack

Konrad
To begin: The third movement of the Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. This reminds of when he went out by the lake with his dog Spot and is visited by the Tralfamadorians.

“Move B*tch” by Ludacris. I think this song goes well with the scene where Billy's wife is rushing to the hospital.

“Shoot to Thrill” by AC/DC. This song should be the soundtrack when Edgar Derby is executed by the Germans for the dark humor it would invoke.

“I Remember” by Deadmau5. When Billy first enters Dresden, this song should be playing because it's hilarious, the heavy beat and melodies would present a dark contrast with Billy’s feelings at the time. Plus, I was trying to see how many genres I could hit with this list.

I'm Not The One by The Black Keys. Valencia is just such a poor matchup for Billy, because Billy is such a poor example of a human being. This captures the futility of his life, as the band sings about not being the right choice.
You think that

I'm normal
All these years
I'm just trying to warn ya

“Vagabond” by the Greenskeepers. Roland Weary is just such angry person, and his position and attitude I feel is reflected in the song.

I wanna shoot you down now for the things you did.

From far away I came, got away from seeing red.
I came a long way to see you,
Such a long way to see you.
I came a long way to see you,
Now I wish you were dead, wish you were dead.

“Stop Stop” by the Black Keys. As Billy gets constantly harassed by Lazzaro, Lazzaro’s threatening manner and Billy’s constant apologetic attitude reminds me of the chorus.

yea you gotta stop, stop can't you hear me call

singing stop, stop it girl

yea you gotta stop, stop can't you see me fall
singing stop, stop it girl

  1. Good choice with the moonlight sonata, it is a great piece. I believe most people strayed from classical music so it was interesting to see it on your playlist. I completely agree that the second song, “Move B*tch,” should be played when Billy's wife is driving the car. It fits the moment perfectly and it'd be hilarious!
